Diary of a Nouveau Nappyhead Part VII

My hair and I are having growing pains.It has probably grown a 1/4 inch since I cut it and my routine of wet it, condition it, gel it is not working anymore. It akes more time in the morning to get to look like something( more than 15 minutes). Grrrr!! It's not long enough to double strand twist and look good.It is taking every thing in me not to cut it down again or texturize it. If I cut it down again then I'll be waiting for it to grow and if I texturize it at this length it will look like a starter jheri curl( do you know that Jheri Curl has a entry in Wikipedia?)!

I'll figure something out. Suggestions let a sista know!

Now, Miss Beyonce, as you all know I luv, could have done something different. I know the purpose was to "stand out" but her dress look like her momma made it an hour before the show. Very cheap looking and too short AND too summer-y. I mean don't they film in Chicago?

Please try to catch this Oprah show. I remember when Oprah came on at 9pm when I lived in Rock Hill. I miss that.It was really good and Jennifer got mad props.

Today I packed up the fam and we went to TJ Maxx in the SPBG. And guess what was waiting for me in the fragrance section:

I said "very loudly" Thank you God!!!!I could hear my friend Shea say, "Cue the Shouting Music!!!" What a Beauty Blessing!! Plus I got two more Stacked Style fragrances,Fiore Flirt and Dolce Dew to add to my Stacked Style collection for 9.99 a piece.

But...the bad news was Best Buy and Circuit City were SOLD OUT of the new Tamia CD. You better blow up girl!!!
